Hedi Framm-Anton

Hedi Framm-Anton

Hedi Framm-Anton graduated from San Francisco Law School, a four year night school, in 1984. She found her passion for immigration law as a secretary for the law firm of Stiller and Nervo, where she began employment after graduation from San Francisco State University. She continued employment as a secretary while attending law school in the evenings. After becoming a lawyer, Hedi worked as an immigration attorney for Catholic Charities. She set up her own practice as a sole practitioner in 1988, when Amnesty legislation was passed.

Hedi's greatest interest has been protecting the most vulnerable. Her practice expanded to Central Americans fleeing civil war in the early nineties, as well as Peruvians fleeing civil war in Peru. Her primary interest is deportation defense, with a focus in political asylum.

Hedi's practice includes a significant representation of Peruvians seeking political asylum. Hedi travels frequently between Peru and the United States. She has forged important relationships with Peruvian ministries. She has over thirty years of experience preparing asylum cases for citizens of Peru. She understands the history and complexity of Peru and its divisions. She has expertise in the area of indigenous culture, marginalization, and the preparation of humanitarian asylum cases.

She works in the heart of an immigrant neighborhood, at 24th and South Van Ness in San Francisco, California, where she has had her practice for the past thirty years.

She prides herself on honesty, credibility, and always telling her clients the truth about their legal situation. She does not promise what she cannot give, and will not mislead a client or allow him or her to believe their legal situation is an easy fix if it is not so.

She has tremendous respect and love for the most vulnerable of the immigrant population - those who come from poverty and poor education, with a dream of a better life in the United States.  She does everything possible to make this happen, because she genuinely cares.

She is completely fluent in Spanish and English.
