ASYLUM

I have prepared applications for the asylum office in San Francisco, California, for over thirty years. I am especially well-trained in the area of victims of abuse, violence, torture and mistreatment based on gender (domestic violence) or sexual preference (gay men and lesbian women, transsexuals). These lengthy years of experience have me skilled in the area of case preparation of detailed affidavits. I handle a wide range of asylum cases for persons seeking safety because of:

  1. sexual orientation

  2. gender

  3. political opinion

  4. sexual abuse as a child (male and female)

  5. severe physical abuse and neglect as a child

  6. "Late Filing" - those who have resided in the U.S. for over a year

  7. Changed country conditions/changes in government

Asylum law requires an attorney with a profound understanding of the history and culture of the country involved, as well as a command of current affairs. An asylum affidavit is the heart and soul of an application, and needs hands-on involvement with the attorney in its' preparation. I work closely with all of my clients in preparing the affidavits, as well as supporting materials. Each asylum case I prepare is unique to my individual client.
